While some students refused to attend the schools, many demanded that they be vaccinated first. Many students also want to know when Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas will be reopened.
In his last webinar held on December 31, 2020, the Education Minister had announced the CBSE Board Exam 2021 Class 10, 12 dates. The CBSE board exams will be conducted from May 4 to June 10 in an offline mode.

Students Request Online Exams For Classes 9, 11
Students have requested to either cancel or conduct online exams for Classes 9, 11 as one of them said, "Sir please cancel or do online examination for class 11 and 9. Please sir whole year we have studied online and even the syllabus is not completed till date sir and exams are starting from February 4 sir"

We can't just go and write the exams as said by the board, we too need some time to be back with the same writing speed and all the necessities. She has particularly pointed about the Class 12 Economic paper which is based on field survey. She asked, "Will the pattern of project in Class 12 Economics be same (based on survey) as the last year ? Due to Pandemic situation this year field survey is not possible".

Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers are equally concerned about reopening schools and holding offline exams.
Kshitij Sahu, teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya Ballygunge, Kolkata has shared various questions regarding the reopening of the schools which have been left unanswered by the government and education departments.
He has asked, " Is government of India planning to vaccinate the students of board appearing classes 10, 12 before the exam?
He has also sought clarification on whether the non-board classes exam will be offline or online mode.
Fearing for teachers' health, he asked if "Whether the government is planning to vaccinate the teachers?"
KV Students Repeatedly Request For Online Exams
As COVID-19 fears grip the students, they are repeatedly asking for online exams as they fear that the virus may spread through touching answer sheets, desks and doors.
One of the exam aspirant said, "Sir I would also request you to kindly conduct online exam as offline exams can act as catalyst in spreading virus through students, pen, papers and other surfaces".
Parents Of KV Students Do Not Favour Reopening Of Schools
Parents of various Kendriya Vidyalaya students have spoken against the reopening of schools. They are saying that no harm will be done, if the schools conduct online classes and replace annual exams with regular assignments.
KV Teacher Shares Concern Over Reopening Of Schools
On the Kendriya Vidyalaya teachers has shared her concerns about reopening of the schools. She has asked “if the schools are prepared to maintain social distancing inside the schools" to avoid any spread of infections. She further asked 'what is the authenticity of the online exams' considering that students could not be monitored while they attempt the papers from their homes.

Delhi has reopened its schools for Classes 10, 12 today. The Delhi schools will be holding sessions for practical subjects and help the students prepare for the internal assignments.
CBSE Board Exams 2021 To Begin On May 4
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier announced the dates for board examinations 2021. The theory papers will begin on May 4 and the practical papers can be held by the schools starting from March onward and continue till beginning of the theory papers.

Students of Classes 9 and 11 have been repeatedly asking for online examinations. Due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the states, they are fearing of contracting the virus. Some of them have requested to away with the final exams and mark them on the basis of internal assessment.

Students are claiming to be forced by the schools to submit the assignments and attend physical classes.
One of the KV student said, "Teachers are forcing us to come to schools. parents not ready. the want us to come to schools to submit our copies, papers, assignments. they are also encouraging us to attend the physical classes. but we don't want to go".
KV Students Panic As CBSE Board Practical Exams May Begin In March
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced the dates for theory papers to begin from May 1 while the schools can conduct the practical exams from March 1 onward until the beginning of theory papers. Though, KV Students are clueless about the reopening of schools.

Citing lack of preparation through online classes, a Kendriya Vidyalaya student said, “We do not care about the vaccine anymore. Even if they open the schools tomorrow we are not prepared to give the exam in April or May because the entire year we were being taught online, they can’t expect us to give exams offline.
KV Students Asking For COVID-19 Vaccine Before Reopening Schools
Various Kendriya Vidyalaya students have been seeking clarity on the reopening dates of the schools at least for Classes 10 and 12 to help them prepare for the upcoming board exams. Some of them want the government to wait for the COVID-19 vaccination programme to begin before reopening the schools.
